"FLL Challenge" refers to FIRST LEGO League Challenge, a STEM program designed for children ages 9-16. It's one of the three divisions within the FIRST LEGO League program.

Theme-Based Challenges
Each year, teams are presented with a new real-world themed challenge to explore, research, and solve.
Robot Design and Programming
Teams design, build, and program an autonomous LEGO robot using LEGO Education SPIKE Prime (or other approved LEGO platforms) to complete missions on a specialized playing field.
Innovation Project
Teams research a problem related to the challenge theme and develop an innovative solution to present.
Core Values
The program emphasizes teamwork, discovery, innovation, impact, inclusion, and fun through the FIRST Core Values of Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition.

Team Size
Teams consist of 2-10 students, guided by at least one adult coach/mentor.
Learning and Development
Students develop STEM skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and critical thinking while engaging in the program.
Events and Competition
Regional Tournaments
Teams compete at regional tournaments, showcasing their robot's performance in the Robot Game and presenting their Innovation Project.
Judging
Judges evaluate teams on Robot Game performance, Robot Design, the Innovation Project, and Core Values.
Awards and Advancement
Teams can earn awards for various achievements and may qualify for advancement to higher-level competitions.
